Computer Security Conferences, Workshops, and Symposia

The following conferences and workshops are important venues for the presentation of research on the topic of computer security:
  • ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (CCS)
  • Internet Society Symposium on Network and Distributed Systems Security (NDSS)
  • IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (Oakland)
  • Usenix Security Symposium

Addititionally, there are many other symposia and dedicated workshops, sometimes held in conjunction with the above, and often held independently that are of importance in specific sub-areas of security. For example, the Crypto series of conferences are considered very important in that sub-dicipline.

The major trade show in security is the RSA conference, held annually.
